Progress

We are making progress in the sitting up area. We still lean a little, but we can sit up for a while by ourselves!!

5 Months

It's amazing how quickly the time has gone! Malachi is changing so much! He is already over 15 pounds! He is really reaching for things with purpose now. He smiles and just about everyone and everything! He has added a lot of food to his diet. Sweet potatoes and carrots are his favorites. Bananas and acorn squash aren't too bad. But he HATES summer squash. However, if you add oatmeal to it, he'll pretty much eat anything! Chi has been SO much fun the last 5 months. We can't remember a time that we have ever been as happy as a family as we are right now!

Can you guess what I'm doing???

Blue Suede Shoes and Super Glue

Malachi had his first real ER visit last week! His wonderful mother left an open rotary cutter blade laying on the floor in front of her. So when she went to pick Chi up while he was crying, of course he sliced his foot open on it! The doctors decided not to put stitches on it, but instead to use the equivalent of butterfly bandages. Well, those came off the next morning after Chi attempted to eat his whole foot. So we went back to the doctor on Monday. His response? Use super glue to keep it shut! So off to the hardware store we went, bought some super glue and glued his foot shut! Of course that didn't work either. Finally we just wrapped it up for 3 days and let it heal by itself. Now he's fine with just a small scar to show for it!

Chi only cried for a second when it happened...he was even laughing at the ER!!
